EBSCO Publishing — “A Partner in Corporate Learning & Training”

EBSCO Publishing’s goal of providing premium information resources that support corporate learning and training is realized through the combination of Business Book Review ® and Business Source ® Corporate .

Business Book Review ® (BBR) summaries extract the key concepts of the best business books, enabling executives and managers to quickly and easily keep abreast of the latest in business intelligence & trends. Following a rigorous selection process, expertly-written summaries are created for the top business books published each year. The BBR library offers coverage of hundreds of books with new summaries added weekly. For each book, BBR provides written summaries in multiple lengths (300-, 600-, and 4,500-words) as well as audio versions (MP3 format) for many titles.

As part of a BBR subscription, EBSCO provides customized assistance to incorporate the summaries into a corporation’s specific learning program, such as:

  • Customized mapping of select BBR summaries to corporate learning objectives/competencies
  • Targeted reading programs for all levels of leadership
  • Continuous mapping of new content to existing learning objectives (email alerts)
  • Summaries grouped according to relevant subject areas addressing all aspects of business skills development

Business Source ® Corporate is designed to meet the diverse information needs of today's companies. This database contains full text from nearly 3,000 quality magazines and journals, including sources ranging from general business periodicals to trade publications. Additional sources include more than 1,400 country economic reports from EIU, Global Insight, ICON Group International, CountryWatch, etc.; more than 10,000 substantial company profiles; and 5,095 industry reports.

Like BBR, relevant full-text articles from Business Source Corporate can be mapped to an organization’s core learning objectives/competencies.
