Customizable Reports on EBSCONET Now Allow Customers to View Exact Information

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama, U.S.A. – September 6, 2007 –  Ever wish you could add or delete fields from an online EBSCONET® report to view only the exact information you need? The new Customize Reports feature now allows you to do just that, selecting only the fields important to you or those related to a particular task. Simply choose which fields will appear in the report and in what order.

For example, the E-Journal Access and Registration report is loaded with useful information, but a librarian might want to see only the Title Name, ISSN, Registration URL, Registration instructions and Registration ID when registering for access to new subscriptions. Or a librarian might want the Title Name, ISSN and Content URL in order to add links to content on the library’s Web site or to update their OPAC. For an ERM load, a librarian would likely need every field within the report.

“The new customizable reports option in EBSCONET is a wonderful tool for managing serials,” said Cindy Soyland, serials associate at the University of South Dakota. “Not only are the reports available immediately, but I can download exactly what I need.  No more deleting multiple columns. Thank you, EBSCO, for making my job easier!”
