The chart below shows price history over the last five years for a current, representative library subscription list of 194 titles. (This list was selected for its compatibility to other school library lists.) Prices were compared from January 2003 to January 2007 and reflect the actual annual subscription rates paid for titles in the sample.

As you can see from the chart, the average price for a title in the representative list for 2007 was $69.34. This represents a 2.50 percent increase over 2006. Over the last five years, the average price for a title in the representative list has increased a total of 14.78 percent.
