Financial Times Customers—Access via EBSCOhost® Now Available

~ Mutual Customers Now Able to Access Their Financial Times Subscription via the EBSCOhost® Interface ~

IPSWICH, Mass. — October 14, 2009 — Corporate customers subscribing to the Financial Times and EBSCOhost® databases are now able to access the newspaper content from the EBSCOhost interface. Customers who purchase online access to the Financial Times directly from the Financial Times may access that content via EBSCOhost

This agreement allows users to access Financial Times articles alongside other premium business periodicals from the same result list on EBSCOhost. Using a single platform approach allows corporations to provide a familiar, intuitive platform for business information reference, simplifying both administration requirements and search functionality.

EBSCOhost is designed to enable alerting capabilities, information sharing and easy keyword searching. A relevancy ranking feature ensures that users will find the most relevant articles, whether from the Financial Times or other business information sources, in one result list. The SmartText search function enables users to find similar articles using a large body of text as the search “term.”  This technique is particularly useful for searching from one content source to the other.
